WHO IS WEIGEL WORKERS UNION

Back in August of 2025, a Weigel employee reached out to NABET-CWA to ask about the process of unionizing their workplace. From there, we've grown to a committee of over a dozen people and a bargaining unit of 122 Weigel employees! We strongly believe that the grass is always greener where you water it, and we deserve better treatment from our employer in return for our labor. Some people follow the mentality of "If you don't like it, then leave," but the reality is that leaving is a privilege not every employee has. In addition, many of us love working here, which is why we want to invest our time and labor into making it better! Our goal from the beginning has been to create a way for Weigel employees to have a say in how they are treated across the board. From low wages and pay discrepancies, to lack of transparency and inflexibility, every employee in our unit has expressed frustrations with one company policy or another. While we know there are limits to the things a union can provide, we also know that we all benefit when we have a seat at the table, even if it's just to maintain current working conditions and keep additional benefits from being lost.
